Assistant Community Services Manager (Contract - 3 Months)

Are you an experienced leader in community services with a passion for delivering high-quality care? We are currently seeking a dedicated Assistant Community Services Manager to join our team on a 3-month contract, providing vital support to ensure the smooth operation of community learning disability services within Bracknell Forest.

Contract Length: 3 months

Salary/Pay Rate: £46.54 umbrella an hour (£36.42 PAYE exclusive of holiday pay)


Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Community Services Manager

As the Assistant Community Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Community Services Manager by:

  • Managing and providing expert guidance to a team of social workers, support coordinators, and health practitioners
  • Overseeing the delivery of community learning disability services, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and compliance
  • Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Manager for safeguarding across the team, ensuring robust safeguarding practices are in place
  • Supporting the team in developing and implementing community-based programs that meet the needs of service users
  • Ensuring effective communication between team members, external partners, and stakeholders
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the community services department

Candidate Responsibilities

The successful Assistant Community Services Manager will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership and supervision for team members
  • Assisting in planning and coordinating service delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures
  • Supporting staff development and training initiatives
  • Monitoring service performance and preparing reports
  • Acting as a point of contact for safeguarding concerns and escalations
