Assistant Plan Coordinator
Location: South Yorkshire
Contract: Initial 3 months
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Hybrid – office-based Mondays and Thursdays
Pay Rate: £17.70 per hour (Umbrella) / £13.69 per hour (PAYE)
We are currently recruiting for an organised and detail-oriented Assistant Plan Coordinator to join a busy Education, Health and Care (EHC) Team within a local authority in South Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity to support essential EHCP administration within a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
The EHC Team requires short-term support to assist with the administration of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will play a key role in ensuring processes run smoothly and deadlines are met, contributing to the delivery of high-quality services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for EHCP processes
- Manage and monitor a busy team inbox, responding to queries efficiently
- Use Excel to track, update, and maintain accurate records
- Support the team in meeting strict statutory deadlines
- Assist with general coordination tasks within the EHC Team
- Ensure data is recorded accurately and in a timely manner
- Experience in education and/or Special Educational Needs (SEN) is preferred
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work at pace
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with data
- Experience managing shared inboxes or high-volume email communication
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and teamworking skills
- A proactive and professional approach
