Are you an experienced leader in children and young persons services? We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Team Manager to join our dynamic teams on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference within county-wide teams supporting children with disabilities and service resilience.
Position Overview:
The Assistant Team Manager will play a vital role in providing management oversight, ensuring safe and effective service delivery. The role offers a flexible, hybrid working model, balancing office attendance with remote work, making it suitable for professionals seeking a dynamic and adaptable environment.
This opportunity includes two distinct roles:

CYPDT ATM (Children and Young Persons Disability Team):
Support during a period of reduced capacity, maintaining operational stability and supervision across the team. -
Peripatetic ATM Agency:
Provide flexible, targeted management across various service areas experiencing capacity gaps, enhancing resilience and maintaining practice standards.
Candidate Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Team Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership and supervision to team members, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and practice standards.
- Supporting service delivery in line with policy and statutory requirements.
- Managing caseloads and supporting performance management of team staff.
- Contributing to team development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working flexibly across multiple locations to meet service demand, including County Hall, Trowbridge; Bourne Hill, Salisbury; Monkton Park, Chippenham.
- Embracing hybrid work arrangements, with approximately 50% of administrative tasks carried out remotely, approximately one day a week.
