About the ASW Social Worker (2+ Years PQE) Role

pay rate 
30.40 PAYE  exclusive of holiday pay or  38.80 umbrella including holiday pay 

The ASW Social Worker (2+ Years PQE) will play a vital role in reviewing out-borough placements, conducting Care Act assessments, managing funding requests, and ensuring that placements are suitable and meet individuals' needs. Your work will involve making MCA and BI decisions, providing representation and advocacy for clients, and raising safeguarding alerts when necessary. You will be key in ensuring compliance with s.117 aftercare eligibility and collaborating with various agencies to foster effective placements.

Candidate Responsibilities

As an ASW Social Worker (2+ Years PQE), your responsibilities will include:
• Reviewing out-borough placements to ensure suitability and appropriateness
• Conducting Care Act assessments thoroughly and efficiently
• Managing funding requests, including move-on and step-down processes
• Making MCA and BI decisions to support client needs
• Providing representation and advocacy to ensure clients’ voices are heard
• Raising safeguarding alerts to relevant boroughs and participating in inquiries
• Ensuring placements align with individual needs and s.117 aftercare eligibility
• Attending team meetings and inter-agency collaborations
• Working closely with providers to maintain and secure new placements
• Travelling to out-of-borough placements, with train tickets provided for reviews

Candidate Requirements
• Qualified Social Worker (ASW) with at least 2 years PQE
• Experience working with adults in mental health settings
• Knowledge of Care Act assessments and safeguarding procedures
• Ability to make MCA and BI decisions confidently
• Strong communication and advocacy skills
• Willingness to travel across boroughs as required
