About the Role: Autism Assessment Nurse
As an Autism Assessment Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting structured autism assessments remotely, mainly using the ADI-R tool. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured Autism Spectrum Disorder assessments remotely in line with recognised clinical guidance, specifically using ADI-R.
- Conduct comprehensive interviews with parents, carers, and individuals, gathering all necessary information for accurate diagnosis.
- Produce clear, high-quality clinical reports supporting diagnostic decisions.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams involved in the autism diagnostic pathway.
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and follow escalation procedures efficiently.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration.
- ADI-R qualification (essential).
- Proven experience conducting autism diagnostic assessments.
- Strong clinical report writing skills.
- Confident in using remote consultation platforms and digital clinical systems.
- Desirable experience in CAMHS, neurodevelopmental, or learning disability services.
- Previous remote autism assessment experience is advantageous.
- Competitive salary up to £70,000 per annum depending on experience.
