Band 6 Community Nurse (RMN) – CAMHS STW Crisis Team

Are you an experienced and motivated Band 6 Community Nurse (RMN) looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in mental health care? We are seeking passionate community mental health professionals to join the CAMHS STW Crisis Team on a contract basis. This is a short-term assignment offering valuable experience supporting young people in crisis, with the potential for extension.

About the Role:

The Band 6 Community Nurse (RMN) will work as part of the dedicated CAMHS STW Crisis Team based at Hall Court, Telford. You will provide vital mental health crisis intervention services across Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin, including support for A&E at Princess Royal Hospital. The role operates on a 4-week rotating rota, including long days and night shifts, ensuring comprehensive 24/7 coverage.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: Band 6 Community Nurse (RMN) – CAMHS STW Crisis Team
  • Contract Length: 2 weeks (initially) with potential extension to 6 weeks
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours: Full-time, working across a 4-week rota (07:30 – 20:30 long days; 19:30 – 08:30 night shifts)
  • Location: Hall Court, Telford

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality mental health assessment and crisis intervention to young people.
  • Supporting clients both in the community and in hospital A&E.
  • Collaborating closely with multi-agency teams to ensure safe and effective care pathways.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation in line with trust policies.
  • Upholding professional standards and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse) with at least Band 6 experience preferred.
  • Experience working within CAMHS or mental health crisis settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills.
  • Availability to commence immediately for the initial 2-week contract, with flexibility for extension.
