We are seeking a Basic Grade Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within diverse settings, providing vital support to both children and adults in the East of Cheshire.

About the Role: Basic Grade Occupational Therapist (Jajf4046 - G9)

As a Basic Grade Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy services across various community settings. You will visit clients in their homes, attend meetings at the office, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support client needs effectively. Flexibility and team working are essential characteristics for success in this role.

Candidate Responsibilities – Basic Grade Occupational Therapist

• Conduct regular client visits across Cheshire East including Macclesfield, Wilmslow, Disley, High Legh, and Knutsford.
• Complete assessments and develop personalized care plans for clients.
• Support clients with Moving and Handling, DFG adaptations, Blue Badges, and other community interventions.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to planning and service development.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all client interactions.
• Uphold compliance with safeguarding procedures, including DBS checks.

Required Skills & Experience – Basic Grade Occupational Therapist

• Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist in community settings.
• Up-to-date Moving and Handling training.
• Experience working with both children and adults.
• Knowledge of DFG (Disabled Facilities Grants) and Blue Badge schemes.
• Flexibility to respond to varying service demands.
• Strong team working abilities.
• DBS check: Enhanced – including barred (please specify if for children, adults, or both).
