About the Job as a Building Inspector Class 2F

As a Building Inspector Class 2F, you will be responsible for conducting building control surveys, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting the council’s development and construction projects. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Candidate Responsibilities as a Building Inspector Class 2F

• Carry out building control inspections in accordance with statutory requirements
• Ensure building works comply with approved plans and regulations
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports
• Liaise with contractors, developers, and other stakeholders
• Assist in providing professional guidance and advice on building control matters
• Support the team during the maternity/paternity cover period from 27/07/2026 to 27/01/2027
• Manage inspections within designated deadlines, working 37 hours per week (09:00 – 17:30)
