Business Support Officer (Contract – 4 Months)

Are you an experienced Business Support Officer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for accurate minute-taking? We are seeking a highly organised and professional individual to join our team on a 4-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to support senior stakeholders and ensure that meetings are well-documented, actions are tracked, and communication flows smoothly across the business.

About the Business Support Officer Role

The Business Support Officer will play a crucial part in our operations by attending internal and external meetings, capturing comprehensive minutes, and facilitating effective communication. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure all meeting outputs are precise and promptly distributed. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple tasks, maintaining confidentiality, and delivering high-quality administrative support.

Key Responsibilities of the Business Support Officer:

  • Attend internal and external meetings to take comprehensive, clear, and concise minutes in real time
  • Accurately capture discussions, decisions, and action points, ensuring outputs are structured and easy to follow
  • Distribute meeting minutes promptly and maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism
  • Track and follow up on actions arising from meetings, liaising with stakeholders as required
  • Prepare meeting agendas, supporting documentation, and briefing materials in advance
  • Maintain organised records of minutes and related documentation for audit and reference purposes
  • Support senior stakeholders with scheduling, coordination, and administrative tasks related to governance and reporting

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in minute taking within a professional environment
  • Ability to listen actively, summarise complex discussions, and produce accurate records under time pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills
  • Discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritising in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility for hybrid working (minimum 3-4 days in the office)
  • Immediate availability is preferred
