Are you an experienced Car Park Maintenance Operative looking for an immediate contract opportunity? Service Care Solutions is seeking a dedicated Car Park Maintenance Operative to join a busy maintenance team in St Albans. This contract role offers a fantastic chance to develop your skills within a local authority environment, ensuring car parks remain safe, clean, and welcoming for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities of the Car Park Maintenance Operative:

• Carry out general maintenance and repair works across various car parks within the district.
• Undertake pothole repairs using cold lay tarmac.
• Complete line marking works with Graco Line Laser marking machines.
• Operate ground saw cutting equipment for surface maintenance.
• Assist with highways and grounds maintenance duties.
• Conduct vegetation control and grounds upkeep.
• Remove litter, leaves, and debris from car park areas.
• Utilize leaf blowers and other tools for site cleanliness.
• Support planned maintenance programmes and respond to defect reports.
• Adhere to health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
• Provide professional customer service when interacting with the public.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable environment at all times.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in car park, highways, grounds, or general maintenance.
• Proven pothole repair experience using cold lay tarmac.
• Experience with line marking and operating Graco Line Laser marking machines (essential).
• Ability to operate ground saw cutting equipment.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation.
• Full valid UK driving license (essential).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit and reliable, comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.

What is on Offer for the Car Park Maintenance Operative:

• £19.70 per hour (PAYE exc Holiday) or £25.00 per hour (LTD Umbrella).
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (37.4 hours/week).
• Immediate start with a 2-week contract.
