Social Care Officer - N6 (Contract)

We are currently recruiting for a Social Care Officer - N6 to join our Family Time team on a contract basis for an initial period of 3 months. About the Role: Social Care Officer - N6

As a Social Care Officer - N6, you will be responsible for supporting children and young people placed in our care to have safe, positive, and meaningful family time with their parents and relatives. You will work closely within our family centres situated across the city and occasionally engage with the community to facilitate family contact.

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Support children and young people to maintain and develop family relationships
• Facilitate family visits, ensuring safety and positive interaction
• Work out of assigned family centres and within the community as needed
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions and visits
• Provide emotional and practical support to children and families
• Promote a safe, relaxing environment during family visits
• Adhere to all policies and procedures related to safeguarding and confidentiality

Candidate Requirements:

• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (essential)
• Previous experience working in social care or family support is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work across different locations within the city
