Are you an experienced Child & Family Social Worker looking for a rewarding opportunity in Tewkesbury? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Children & Families Team on a contract basis. Child & Family Social Worker Responsibilities
As a Child & Family Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of approximately 18 children, delivering effective, evidence-based interventions tailored to individual needs. Your key duties will include:
- Conducting face-to-face visits with children and families in a timely manner.
- Working with a varied caseload of Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC), including some court work.
- Developing and implementing intervention plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive case records.
- Collaborating with other agencies to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach.
- Participating in team meetings and case reviews regularly.
- Supporting children’s well-being while respecting their rights and wishes.
Candidate Responsibilities
The ideal Child & Family Social Worker will demonstrate:
- Experience working within children’s social care.
- Knowledge of statutory processes, including court proceedings where relevant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload effectively.
- Flexibility to work both from home and in the office.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
