Candidate Responsibilities
- Chair child protection conferences, ensuring the voice of the child remains central to safeguarding arrangements.
- Quality assure care planning to ensure it reflects each child's wishes and feelings.
- Contribute to service and directorate-wide quality assurance activities to support continuous improvement.
- Attend all review meetings and conferences in person, ensuring consistent leadership and oversight.
- Travel approximately 2.5 days per week to attend meetings at designated locations.
- Support learning and development initiatives across the team through active participation in quality assurance processes.
- Proven experience as a Children’s Guardian, Child Protection Chair, or Independent Reviewing Officer.
- Strong understanding of child protection procedures and statutory guidance.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to attend in person at meetings and conferences.
- Resident locally preferred to facilitate effective travel arrangements.
- Competitive pay rate (please inquire during application).
- Contract duration until mid-October 2026, offering job stability.
