About the Child Protection Coordinator (Bcft) Role

The Child Protection Coordinator (Bcft) will be responsible for overseeing safeguarding practices, reviewing child protection procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and experience in safeguarding environments.

Key Responsibilities of the Child Protection Coordinator (Bcft):

• Lead safeguarding initiatives and ensure adherence to safeguarding policies
• Conduct reviews of child protection plans and procedures
• Support staff training and awareness regarding child safeguarding best practices
• Liaise with relevant agencies and partners to coordinate child protection efforts
• Document and report safeguarding concerns efficiently and accurately
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism

Candidate Requirements for the Child Protection Coordinator (Bcft):

• Relevant experience in child safeguarding or protection roles
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proactive, organized, and able to handle sensitive situations with discretion
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in safeguarding (desirable)
