Working on behalf of Vale of Glamorgan Council, We are currently seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker with a strong background in Section 47 enquiries and a passion for supporting children and families in complex circumstances.
About the Role Working in our Intake Team
You’ll play a vital role in safeguarding children, completing high‑quality assessments, and making timely, informed decisions that truly make a difference. This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where your ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines will be essential.
You will have a dedicated focus on Section 47 assessments, giving you the opportunity to work at the forefront of child protection practice. If you are confident in applying relevant legislation and guidance, and committed to delivering compassionate, child‑centred practice, we’d love to hear from you.

- Strong experience in Section 47 enquiries
- Confidence in applying legislation and guidance in child protection practice
- Ability to work at pace, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
- Commitment to compassionate, child‑centred practice
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS
- 3 years’ references/work history
- Social Care Wales Registration
