Salary: £36.88 UBRELLA (£28.15 PAYE)

Working on behalf of Vale of Glamorgan Council, We are currently seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker with a strong background in Section 47 enquiries and a passion for supporting children and families in complex circumstances.

About the Role Working in our Intake Team

You’ll play a vital role in safeguarding children, completing high‑quality assessments, and making timely, informed decisions that truly make a difference. This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where your ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines will be essential.
You will have a dedicated focus on Section 47 assessments, giving you the opportunity to work at the forefront of child protection practice. What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in Section 47 enquiries
• Confidence in applying legislation and guidance in child protection practice
• Ability to work at pace, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
• Commitment to compassionate, child‑centred practice

Must-Have Requirements

• Eligible to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS
• 3 years’ references/work history
• Social Care Wales Registration
