Children’s Social Worker – Assessment Team
📍 Sefton Council | 💰 £40 per hour | 🕒 36 hours per week | 🏡 1 day working from home
Sefton Council is looking for an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join their Assessment Team on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive team that focuses on understanding the needs of children and families at the earliest stage, ensuring the right support and interventions are in place.
The Role
As part of the Assessment Team, you’ll work closely with children, young people, and their families to build a clear picture of their circumstances and identify the support they need. You will complete comprehensive assessments and help ensure families receive the right help at the right time.
Key Requirements
Sefton’s Assessment Team works with families to understand their circumstances and identify any challenges they may be facing. Through thorough assessments, the team helps determine what support or interventions may benefit children and their families, ensuring positive and safe outcomes.

Key Requirements
- Previous experience within a Children’s Assessment Team
- Strong experience working with CP (Child Protection), CIN (Children in Need), and LAC (Looked After Children)
- Ability to complete child, young people and families assessments
- Confident working collaboratively with families and multi-agency partners
