Children’s Social Worker / Senior Social Worker Salary: £39,152 – £47,181 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Shire Hall, Gloucester, GL1 2TG
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Relocation allowance available – up to £8,000 (T&Cs apply).
About the Role Gloucestershire County Council is seeking Children’s Social Workers and Senior Social Workers to join our teams across our six localities. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced social workers to join a focused and ambitious local authority committed to delivering excellent outcomes for children and young people.
As a Social Worker, you will play a key role in providing support, protection and positive outcomes for children and families across Gloucestershire. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure the best possible services are delivered to those in need.
Applications from Skilled Workers Applications from Skilled Workers already living and working in the UK will be considered if they:

• Are currently registered with Social Work England (SWE)
• Are seeking to transfer their Certificate of Sponsorship
• Have a minimum of 2 years’ UK experience in statutory children’s services
• Are willing to relocate to Gloucestershire

• Salary: £39,152 – £47,181 per annum (dependent on experience)
• £4,000 welcome payment
• £2,000 annual retention payment
• Hybrid working (minimum 2–3 days in the office)
• 25.5 days annual leave, rising to 30.5 days after 5 years’ service
• Relocation allowance up to £8,000

About You - We are looking for passionate and experienced social workers who are committed to making a difference in children’s lives.
To be considered, you must have:

• Social Work England registration
• A recognised Social Work qualification
• Completed ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment)
• Experience as a frontline Social Worker (Senior level desirable)
• A full and valid UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel across the county
• Enhanced DBS clearance covering Adults and Children
