Build Something Exceptional From Day One An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a brand-new children’s residential home supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Derby.

The home is a beautifully refurbished two-bed service, fully compliant and prepared for Ofsted registration. The Role As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance are consistently achieved.

You’ll play a key role in:

  • Leading the home through Ofsted registration and inspection readiness
  • Building and developing a stable, motivated, and child-focused team
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for young people
  • Maintaining high-quality care standards in line with Ofsted regulations
  • Developing policies, procedures, risk assessments, and compliance documentation
  • Building strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals
  • Driving positive outcomes and continuous improvement across the service
About You We’re looking for a confident and proactive leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.

To be considered, you should have:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People’s Services)
  • Previous experience managing EBD children’s homes or similar settings
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and inspection frameworks
  • Experience setting up new homes and managing compliance processes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and staff development skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care and support
