Job Opportunity: Clinical Coder (Contract) – Onsite in Stone, Staffordshire

Are you an experienced Clinical Coder looking for a short-term, on-site contract in Staffordshire? We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Coder to join our client in Stone for an immediate, two-week assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your skills in a busy healthcare environment and support quality patient care. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of £17 LTD via Umbrella, along with excellent benefits.

About the Role: Clinical Coder

The Clinical Coder will be responsible for accurately coding clinical data, maintaining high standards of data quality, and supporting the practice in clearing coding backlogs. This position requires on-site attendance only, working three days a week with flexible hours around core time. Candidates must be available to start immediately and be committed to the duration of approximately two weeks.

Key Responsibilities for the Clinical Coder Include:

  • Accurately code clinical data from patient records following national and local standards
  • Maintain high standards of data integrity and clinical record accuracy
  • Update and manage patient records using EMIS
  • Review, process, and file clinical correspondence via Docman
  • Support the practice in clearing coding backlogs as needed
  • Collaborate with clinicians and administrative staff to ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping

Essential Skills and Requirements for the Clinical Coder Role:

  • Proven experience working as a Clinical Coder within a healthcare setting
  • Demonstrable experience using EMIS
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of clinical coding standards
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on-site
