About the Commissioning Manager Role
As a Commissioning Manager, you will report to the Head of Strategic Commissioning & Delivery and spearhead strategic planning and implementation for mental health services. Your expertise will help shape the future of adult social care by analyzing current and future needs, engaging with stakeholders, and proposing innovative solutions.
Candidate Responsibilities as a Commissioning Manager
- Lead the development of a 5-year mental health commissioning strategy and delivery plan to enhance mental health pathways and supported accommodation options.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of current and projected needs, market capacity, and expenditure.
- Facilitate engagement and co-production activities with providers, service users, and unpaid carers to inform commissioning decisions.
- Propose clear recommendations and next steps for efficient commissioning and procurement processes.
- Collaborate with South West London commissioning leads on joint commissioning initiatives.
Candidate Requirements for the Commissioning Manager
- Proven experience in adult social care commissioning is essential.
- Strong understanding of mental health services and associated challenges.
- Proficiency in project management principles, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent data analysis skills, including triangulating information from multiple sources.
- Ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
