Community Keyworker (Advance) – Thames Valley (Temporary Contract)
Reading & Oxford offices with travel across Oxfordshire, Berkshire & Buckinghamshire
Contract length: 2 weeks
Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour (Umbrella) / approx. £14.50–£15.00 per hour PAYE equivalent (depending on statutory costs)
We are recruiting a Community Keyworker (Advance) to support women involved in the Criminal Justice System across the Thames Valley region. This role focuses on practical, emotional and person-centred support to help clients reintegrate, reduce barriers, and improve long-term outcomes.
Candidate responsibilities
As a Community Keyworker (Advance), you will:
- Provide one-to-one support to women involved in the Criminal Justice System
- Complete holistic assessments and develop personalised support plans
- Deliver “Through the Gate” and in-reach support, helping women transition from custody to community supervision
- Build and maintain professional partnerships with probation services, prisons, housing providers, health services and community organisations
- Promote engagement with services including housing, health, education, employment, and wellbeing provision
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding and organisational procedures
- Advocate on behalf of clients to improve access to opportunities and reduce reoffending risk
- Manage a varied caseload and work independently within a multidisciplinary team
Essential requirements (mandatory to interview)
- Current Enhanced Level One Vetting (mandatory)
- Enhanced DBS clearance or ability to maintain clearance
- Experience supporting individuals with complex or multiple needs
- Strong understanding of the Criminal Justice System and safeguarding
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and administration/case management skills
