Community Keyworker – Thames Valley/Reading (Contract – 2 weeks)

Advance is recruiting a Community Keyworker – Thames Valley/Reading to join our Thames Valley team on a temporary contract basis. This role will be based in our Reading and Oxford offices, with travel across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. We are a women-only organisation and, under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Paragraph 1), this role is open to female applicants only as a genuine occupational requirement.

Please note: any offer of employment will be subject to references, right to work in the UK, and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check. This role is also subject to Enhanced Level One Vetting (this can take up to 12+ weeks). The closing date is 05/07/2026.

Candidate Responsibilities

As a Community Keyworker – Thames Valley/Reading, you will:

  • Provide holistic one-to-one community support to women involved in the Criminal Justice System (including probation in the community and those being released from prison via Post Sentence Supervision)
  • Deliver some in-reach and ‘Through the Gate’ support, meeting women in local settings wherever they are in their journey
  • Build strong, professional relationships with clients and a diverse range of delivery partners to help clients progress through and beyond supervision
  • Create individualised support packages addressing complex needs, barriers, and risk factors
  • Maintain strong safeguarding awareness and follow compliant working practices
  • Demonstrate excellent administration skills and ensure accurate, timely record keeping
