Community Safety Advisor – Contract (2 weeks) – Manchester
Are you an experienced Community Safety professional passionate about creating safer neighbourhoods? We are seeking a dedicated Community Safety Advisor to join a local authority in Manchester on a short-term contract. If you have the expertise in managing anti-social behaviour, hate crime, and domestic abuse cases, this role offers an excellent opportunity to make a tangible difference in the community.
About the Role: Community Safety Advisor
The Community Safety Advisor will be responsible for delivering a proactive and responsive service to residents, working closely with partner agencies, community groups, and residents to resolve complex safety issues. Your expertise will support the local authority's mission to reduce anti-social behaviour and create safer communities.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Manage reports of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), Hate Crime, and Domestic Abuse & Violence (DAV) from referral through to resolution.
- Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and prepare cases for legal action where appropriate.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify safeguarding concerns, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and update case management systems; produce insightful reports.
- Collaborate with Police, Local Authorities, and community organisations to resolve issues effectively.
- Support community safety projects, initiatives, and preventative measures in targeted areas.
- Promote awareness of community safety services and encourage resident engagement.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience working within Community Safety, ASB, Housing Enforcement, or similar public sector roles.
- Knowledge of community safety legislation, crime prevention, and safeguarding practices.
- Strong communication skills with good customer engagement ability.
- Experience working within multi-agency partnerships.
- Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
