Service Care Soltuions are supporting the Scottish Covid-19 Inquiry who are looking for a qualified solicitor or advocate with a passion for supporting impactful legal work. We are seeking a dedicated Covid-19 Solicitor to join a high-profile public inquiry team based in Edinburgh. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to Scotland’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, working on a key legal project that aims to establish facts and learn lessons from the strategic handling of the pandemic in Scotland. Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Contract: 12 month possible extension 23 months
Ltd Day Rate: £326.04 - PAye: (INC) £276.66

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing legal advice to the Chair and Inquiry teams
- Identifying, recovering, and analysing documentary evidence
- Developing lines of inquiry and identifying relevant witnesses
- Taking witness statements and supporting evidence gathering
- Managing disclosure and redaction exercises
- Liaising with Counsel and external legal representatives
We're looking for candidates with:
- Qualification as a solicitor or advocate in Scottish Law
- Strong legal analysis and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach
