About the Credit Controller Role

The Credit Controller will be responsible for managing the sales ledger, chasing outstanding debts, and building professional relationships with clients to ensure efficient cash flow. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining strong communication channels and contributing to the overall financial health of the firm.

Key Responsibilities of the Credit Controller

• Managing the sales ledger for clients, ensuring timely payments
• Chasing outstanding debts via telephone and email
• Assisting with monthly statement runs
• Building and maintaining rapport with clients through effective communication
• Setting up new clients on the system, including standing orders and credit terms
• Reviewing and adjusting credit limits and terms as needed
• Handling ad hoc duties related to credit control activities

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Credit Controller
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
