Criminal Duty Solicitor

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Manchester for an experienced Criminal Duty Solicitor to join their expanding Criminal Defence team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and client-focused solicitor with 2–5 years' PQE to join a respected firm with a strong reputation for providing high-quality criminal defence services. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload while representing clients at every stage of the criminal justice process.

Location: Manchester (Hybrid Working)
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Salary: Competitive – Dependent on Experience & Interview Performance

Responsibilities as a Criminal Duty Solicitor:

• Manage a varied caseload of criminal defence matters from initial instruction through to conclusion.
• Attend police stations to advise and represent clients following arrest.
• Represent clients at Magistrates' Courts and assist with Crown Court matters where required.
• Prepare legal documentation, witness statements, case strategies, and advocacy.

About You:

• Qualified Solicitor with 2–5 years' Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Must hold Police Station Accreditation and Duty Solicitor status.
• Experience managing a broad criminal defence caseload independently.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills.
