A client within the Public Sector based in Berkshire is currently recruiting for a Customer Support Advisor to join their Customer Services team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a customer service or administrative environment.
The Role
The key purpose of the role is to provide transactional administration support to resolve customer queries through the Customer Service Management Centre across the range of channels offered, to agreed targets and service levels. The role involves working on a project supporting vulnerable customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring they can access all of the organisation’s housing and related services.

The Role

The role involves working on a project supporting vulnerable customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring they can access all of the organisation’s housing and related services.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Handling multi-skilled administrative queries across Housing, Garages, Mutual Exchanges, Repairs, and Home Ownership.
- Making outbound calls to customers to discuss their vulnerabilities and identify appropriate support.
- Liaising directly with internal colleagues and external customers to solve problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with GDPR.
- Using multiple computer systems efficiently to record and resolve customer enquiries.
- Providing excellent customer service and ensuring customers are kept informed throughout the process.
To be considered for this role you will require:
- Basic administrative experience within a customer service environment.
- Confidence using Microsoft Excel for basic tasks and data entry.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Empathetic approach when dealing with vulnerable customers.
- Strong active listening and communication skills.
- Confident making outbound calls.
- Quick learner and adaptable to multiple computer systems.
- Accurate record-keeping and understanding of GDPR compliance.
