About the Role:
United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority is seeking an experienced OT Cyber Security Analyst to support the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of Operational Technology (OT) security controls across critical infrastructure environments.
This role is focused on hands-on OT cyber security engineering, governance, and operational assurance within industrial and ICS environments. The successful candidate will support the delivery of OT security strategy, implement security controls, contribute to policy and standards development, and ensure alignment with industry security frameworks and enterprise cyber objectives.
The position requires strong engagement with engineering teams, operations stakeholders, and managed service providers to ensure OT environments remain secure, resilient, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and support the OT Security Strategy across UKAEA OT environments
- Apply and maintain OT security controls aligned to organisational standards and risk priorities
- Develop and maintain OT security policies, standards, and governance artefacts
- Conduct OT security risk assessments, gap analyses, and remediation planning activities
- Support technical governance and compliance activities across OT systems
- Ensure alignment with recognised security frameworks including IEC 62443, NIST CSF, CAF, and ISO 27001
- Work closely with engineering and operational teams to embed security controls into OT environments
- Provide technical oversight and recommendations to MSPs and third-party security providers
- Support SIEM/SOC integration activities within OT environments
- Contribute to continuous improvement of OT cyber security capabilities and monitoring
Essential skills and experience:
- Demonstrable experience within OT/ICS or critical infrastructure environments
- Background in industries such as:
- Oil & Gas
- Rail
- Chemical Processing
- Strong knowledge of OT security frameworks and standards:
- IEC 62443
- NIST CSF
- CAF
- ISO 27001
- Proven experience implementing OT security strategies, policies, and standards
- Experience conducting OT risk assessments, gap analyses, and remediation planning
- Strong understanding of OT networking, segmentation, and industrial protocols
- Experience collaborating with engineering and operational teams in OT environments
- Familiarity with SIEM/SOC integration for OT environments
- Ability to provide technical direction to MSPs and third-party providers
- Strong documentation, communication, and governance experience
- Maximum 2-week notice period
