Domestic Abuse Lead

MARAC Coordinator / Domestic Abuse Lead — Central London local authority, maternity cover.

Leading Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) coordination, domestic abuse safeguarding and multi-agency partnership work for a prestigious City of London organisation.

This is a strategic, coordination-focused role — more coordinator than caseholder, though case management is part of the mix (roughly 80% coordination and partnership work, 20% casework).

THE ROLE

• Lead officer for the Domestic Abuse MARAC process across a high-profile Central London authority
• Manage MARAC referrals, agendas, and multi-agency information gathering
• Track and monitor actions arising from MARAC meetings
• Analyse domestic abuse trends and produce reports for senior managers and partnership boards
• Act as advocate for domestic abuse services and oversee commissioned service providers
• Engage senior stakeholders across the local authority, policing and major City businesses

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Recent MARAC experience is the single biggest factor here — the more current, the stronger your application
• Strong knowledge of domestic abuse legislation, particularly the Domestic Abuse Act 2021
• Safeguarding and multi-agency partnership working experience
• Confidence engaging senior stakeholders
• Backgrounds considered: domestic abuse services, IDVA, community safety, probation, police safeguarding, prison/offender management, social work safeguarding, or other multi-agency safeguarding settings (Section 47 experience is transferable)
• Degree level or equivalent experience in a related field
• IDVA qualification desirable but not essential

DETAILS

• Rate: £26.02 PAYE / £34.00 Umbrella
• Contract: Maternity cover to approx. early April
• Location: Guildhall, Central London — hybrid, 2 days/week on-site, 3 days WFH
• DBS: Enhanced DBS required — client is happy to wait for this to be processed if you don't already hold one
