Role Overview
- Deliver evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues
- Support the Senior Mental Health Lead to introduce and develop the Whole School Approach (WSA)
- Provide timely advice to education staff and liaise with specialist services to ensure children and young people (CYP) receive the right support and remain in education
- Understanding of educational environments
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues
- Knowledge of capacity and consent issues, including Gillick competence
- Working with children and young people, their families, and other professionals
- Liaising with a wide variety of agencies and stakeholders
- Supporting children and young people with social, emotional, and/or behavioural difficulties
- Experience with anxiety and affective (mood) disorders
- Delivery of specific therapeutic interventions (e.g., CBT, solution-focused brief therapy)
