Educational Psychologist – Contract Opportunity

Are you an experienced Educational Psychologist looking for a rewarding contract role supporting statutory assessments? We are currently recruiting for an Educational Psychologist to provide interim support in a local authority setting. If you're HCPC registered, have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a local authority, and are available immediately, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Join us as an Educational Psychologist, where you will play a vital role in completing statutory EP assessments on a short-term basis. We offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid and remote options, with a preference for face-to-face assessments where possible. This is a fast-paced, time-sensitive role with ongoing assignments, offering competitive pay per assessment.

Candidate Responsibilities – The Role of an Educational Psychologist

As an Educational Psychologist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting statutory EP assessments and writing detailed reports
  • Managing a caseload of assessments within statutory deadlines
  • Supporting department objectives by ensuring assessments are completed accurately and on time
  • Working both independently and collaboratively within a local authority setting
  • Attending face-to-face or hybrid assessment sessions where needed
  • Maintaining compliance with all professional and regulatory standards

Candidate Requirements – Skills and Experience

The ideal Educational Psychologist candidate will possess:

  • HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist (essential)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ local authority experience (non-negotiable)
  • Proven experience completing statutory assessments and reports
  • Ability to work efficiently within tight deadlines
  • Immediate availability to commence assessments
  • Capacity to confirm the number of days per week/month available for work
  • Fully compliant with all professional and safeguarding requirements
  • An anonymised example report must accompany your CV (CVs without reports will not be considered)

Pay Rate: £1,300 per assessment (approximately 2 days’ work per assessment). Rates may vary for fully remote candidates.
