EHC Phase Manager – SEND
Location: South Yorkshire (Local Authority)
Working Pattern: Hybrid – office attendance required at least 1 day per week
Rate: £400–£500 per day (Umbrella) (£285-385 PAYE per day)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced EHC Phase Manager to join a busy Education, Health and Care (EHC) Team within a local authority service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled SEND professional with strong leadership experience to support the delivery of high-quality statutory EHC services and ensure positive outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
About the Role
As an EHC Phase Manager, you will provide leadership and oversight across EHC processes, supporting the effective management of complex cases and ensuring EHC Plans meet statutory requirements and quality standards.
You will play a key role in quality assurance, service improvement, and supporting the wider EHC team to deliver an efficient, child-centred service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a busy caseload of complex EHC cases
- Provide oversight and quality assurance of EHC Plans
- Ensure statutory processes are followed in line with the SEND Code of Practice
- Support and line manage team members effectively
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on complex cases
- Monitor performance, deadlines, and service quality
- Work collaboratively with education settings, families, professionals, and partner agencies
About You – Essential Experience & Skills
- Significant experience working within SEND/EHC services
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
- Experience managing complex EHC cases and statutory processes
- Proven experience quality assuring EHC Plans
- Previous line management or team leadership experience
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND
Working Arrangements
This role offers hybrid working, with a preference for candidates able to attend the town centre office at least one day per week in line with service requirements.
