Electrician (Local Authority Housing Repairs) – Nottingham – 2 Week Contract (Temp to Perm)

We’re recruiting an Electrician to join a Local Authority Housing Repairs team in Nottingham. This is a short initial 2 week contract, with the strong potential to go temp to perm. You will deliver high-quality electrical repairs and maintenance to void and tenanted properties, ensuring safe completion of works in line with current regulations.

Candidate Responsibilities

As an Electrician, your key duties will include:

• Carrying out electrical repairs and maintenance to void and occupied properties
• Completing responsive repairs across the housing stock
• Diagnosing electrical faults and undertaking remedial work
• Undertaking inspection and testing duties
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and to current regulations
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer-focused service

What We’re Looking For (Essential)

To be considered for the Electrician role, you will ideally have:

• NVQ in Electrical Installation
• 18th Edition qualification
• 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience working within repairs and maintenance environments

Pay & Working Pattern

• Payrate: £22.04 per hour Ltd (PAYE equivalent £18.91 per hour)
• 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm
• Overtime available
• Sociable working hours
• Holiday allowance
• Temp to Perm opportunity (after the initial 2 week contract)
