About the Role: Electrician
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance and improvement works across residential properties in and around Norwich. The role includes tasks such as rewiring, upgrading kitchens and bathrooms, wiring and connecting heating fuel systems, and ensuring all electrical work is completed to a high standard and within safety guidelines. A company van is provided for work use, along with tools and equipment, making your daily operations smooth and efficient.
You will also participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota, maintain high safety standards, and work in both occupied and void properties, including confined spaces like roof voids. The employer supports ongoing professional development, including the opportunity to obtain your 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification.
Candidate Responsibilities: Electrician
- Undertake electrical maintenance, improvements, and remedial works in domestic properties
- Complete rewires, upgrades, wiring, and connection of heating fuel systems
- Ensure all jobs are safely closed via mobile device upon completion
- Manage company equipment, including van, tools, and materials
- Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota as needed
- Maintain safety standards to ensure tenant and property security
- Work in various environments, including confined spaces and adverse weather conditions
- Follow health and safety protocols and keep documentation accurate and up-to-date
Candidate Requirements - Electrician
- NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installation
- AM2 qualification (or willing to obtain)
- 18th Edition BS7671 Wiring Regulations (preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience in domestic electrical works, with preference for those experienced in occupied and void properties
- Basic testing and inspecting skills in electrical installations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication, time management, and adaptability skills
