Employment Lawyer

Service Care Solutions is currently working in partnership with a reputable local authority, based in Derby, which is looking to recruit an experienced Employment Lawyer. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified legal professional seeking a flexible and varied caseload within the public sector.
 
Role: Employment Lawyer
Location: Derby
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing
Umbrella Rate: £50 - £55ph
PAYE Inc. Rate: £44.06 - £48.41ph
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a caseload of employment law matters from start to finish.
• Providing advice on disciplinary, grievance, and restructuring issues.
• Representing the authority at Employment Tribunal proceedings.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal executive with a current practicing certificate in England and Wales.
• Strong experience in employment law, ideally within the public sector.
• Advocacy experience or confidence attending tribunal hearings.

• Weekly pay – the rate offered will depend on experience and interview performance.
• Flexible hours – 22 hours per week with potential for more.
