Contract Type: Temporary (Full-Time, including weekends on a rota basis)

About the Role
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Temporary Estate Services Operative to join a busy Mobile Team working across local estates in East London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operative who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and well-presented environments for residents and the public.
You will be part of a responsive, hands-on team providing cleaning, caretaking, and maintenance support to estates across the area ensuring high standards of safety, hygiene, and presentation at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a mobile team on a rota basis, including weekends.
• Drive and load bulk refuse collection vehicles to remove unwanted items from internal and external locations.
• Safely dispose of refuse at designated sites, using mechanical aids (e.g. tipping vehicles) when required.
• Carry out minor repairs, deep cleans, and general estate maintenance duties as directed.
• Operate cleaning machinery such as pressure washers and floor scrubbers for internal and external areas.
• Provide relief caretaking across estates, sometimes at short notice.
• Carry out litter picking, leaf clearance, gritting, and other seasonal or environmental tasks.
• Ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness, completing daily checks and reporting any defects.
• Transport goods and materials between sites as required.
• Report incidents, damage, or health & safety concerns promptly to management.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents and stakeholders, providing a courteous and professional service.

Requirements

• Full clean UK driving license (able to drive tipper vans and fleet vehicles).
• Proven experience in refuse collection, caretaking, or estate services.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and manual handling practices.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles, machinery, and equipment after training.
• Capable of performing manual handling and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
