About the Role - Experienced Social Worker (Childrens)

As an Experienced Social Worker (Childrens), you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload that includes Child and Family Assessments, Children in Need, Child Protection, and Court cases. You will work within a dedicated Children and Young People's (CWD) Team, which prides itself on stability, staff support, and manageable workloads. This role offers regular supervision and a collaborative team environment, enabling you to deliver high-quality services to vulnerable children and families.

Candidate Responsibilities for the Experienced Social Worker (Childrens):

• Carrying a caseload of Child and Family Assessments, Children in Need, Child Protection, and Court cases
• Providing expert support and guidance to families and children
• Conducting thorough assessments, planning, and intervention strategies
• Working collaboratively with external agencies and partners
• Maintaining accurate and timely case records
• Ensuring compliance with departmental policies and safeguarding protocols
• Contributing to team meetings and case reviews
• Supporting reducing children’s caseloads and enhancing service delivery

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker (e.g., HCPC registered)
• Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in child protection and family assessments
• Strong communication and assessment skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and protocols
• Valid UK driving license (if applicable)
