Family Group Conference and Lifelong Links Coordinator (Contract)

Are you passionate about supporting families and strengthening lifelong connections? We are seeking a dedicated Family Group Conference and Lifelong Links Coordinator to join our dynamic team. About the Role:

The Family Group Conference and Lifelong Links Coordinator will support families by helping establish safe plans for children to remain in the care of their parents or wider network. The coordinator’s role is independent yet works collaboratively alongside social worker assessments to ensure families are supported comprehensively. The likelihood of working outside standard hours is expected, as the Family Group Conference Service operates on a 7-day basis, with coordinators managing their own schedules to meet family needs.

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Family Group Conferences to empower families to develop safe and sustainable care plans.
  • Support families through the planning and decision-making processes, ensuring their voices are heard.
  • Work closely with social workers to align family plans with assessment outcomes.
  • Manage a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend appointments, to accommodate family availability.
  • Maintain accurate records of family interactions and assessments.
  • Promote lifelong links between children and their families to support their ongoing wellbeing.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in family support, social work, or relevant community services is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable families.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal office hours as necessary.
