Family Help Lead Practitioner - Grade 8

Are you an experienced Family Help Lead Practitioner looking for a rewarding contract opportunity? We are currently recruiting for a Family Help Lead Practitioner - Grade 8 position to join a dedicated team supporting children and families through assessment, planning, and targeted interventions. This contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference within a collaborative environment.

Position: Family Help Lead Practitioner - Grade 8
Contract Length: 3 months
Location: HQ Offices, Chester
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 16:30 finish on Fridays)
Pay Rate: Within the agreed pay cap (please contact us for specific details)


Candidate Responsibilities:

As a Family Help Lead Practitioner - Grade 8, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Completing holistic assessments and developing outcome-focused plans tailored to individual family needs
  • Delivering evidence-based interventions that aim to improve child and family outcomes
  • Collaborating effectively with multi-agency partners to coordinate support and services
  • Chairing meetings and actively contributing to safeguarding processes
  • Maintaining accurate, timely, and detailed records for all cases
  • Adopting a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach that centers children’s voices in every intervention

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within family support services, possess strong assessment and planning skills, and demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Family Help Lead Practitioner or similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and multi-agency working
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Hold relevant qualifications and registered status if applicable
