Family Service Worker
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on families and supporting vulnerable children and adults? We are currently seeking a dedicated Family Service Worker to join Cheshire East Council on a contract basis offering a pay rate of £15.84ph. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a project family time team, supervising and supporting families who have recently been removed and are subject to court proceedings.

- Supervising family visits within a court-ordered framework
- Supporting families to maintain positive contact during challenging circumstances
- Completing detailed assessments of family interactions and progress
- Collaborating with legal teams, social workers, and court personnel
- Maintaining accurate case records in line with organisational policies
- Engaging with families in a sensitive, non-judgmental manner to foster trust
- Ensuring compliance with all safeguarding and confidentiality protocols
- Providing guidance and support to families to facilitate positive outcomes
- Proven experience in child and family support services or social work
- A recognised DBS check
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy
- Knowledge of court procedures and safeguarding policies
- Relevant qualifications in social work, children and families services, or equivalency
