Family Support Worker

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Family Support Worker on behalf og Liverpool Council Children's services. This position is based within the short breaks team which provided support to children and families with disabilities. The role is hybrid working with a mixture of home working, visits in the community with service users and office based work. As such, there is a requirement for the successful candidate to be a car driver as you will be providing face-to-face support to families where applicable.

Duties of the role will include:

• Completing short breaks and carers needs assessment
• Short break reviews
• Carrying out requests for care and support
• Signposting to other services
• Helping families to implement routines and communication plans

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience of working with young people and their families
• Experience of working with children with disabilities
• Full UK driving license
• Enhanced DBS check
• Be able to work upon own initiative and within a team

The role is a temporary, full time position for an initial period of 3 months with a view to this being extended on a rolling basis and is offering a pay rate of £17.00ph.
