DESCRIPTION
We have an exciting opportunity for a Family Support Worker (Social Work Qualified) to join the Nottingham City Council care team.
This role is unique in the sense that it is NOT classed as a social worker position, though you will work closely with a Social Work Lead Professional as part of an integrated team focused on providing a positive and lasting change to the lives of children and families between the ages of 0-19.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified social worker; however, the versatility of this full-time position will offer a rewarding experience even for more experienced individuals!

- Complete Early Help Assessments and smart multi agency plans with children and families using the Signs of Safety framework.
- To act as a Lead Professional for children and families, arranging and chairing meetings to bring about a positive lasting change to the family life.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Data Protection act using an electronic case management system.
- Participate and comply with Nottingham City Council’s performance management procedures.
- Actively promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion through all actions
- Social work qualification
- Must be willing to undertake a DBS check at the appropriate level
- Experience working with children, young people and families with a range of support needs.
- Experience in completing assessments and plans with children and families.
- Ability to manage allocated cases and a commitment to integrated working.
- A commitment to high quality family services
- Hours are 08:30am-4:50pm, however flexible working outside of these hours may be required to meet the needs of children and families.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
