Family Time Worker Children & Families Service | Staffordshire

We are recruiting for a Family Time Worker to join a dedicated Children & Families team, playing a vital role in supporting children, young people and their families through therapeutic family time sessions.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and organise family time arrangements as directed by the courts and social care teams.
- Facilitate therapeutic family time sessions between children and their families.
- Provide support, guidance and practical parenting advice during sessions.
- Transport children and young people to and from family time sessions where required.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and professionals.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation following family time sessions.
- Contribute to safeguarding plans and promote the welfare of children at all times.
- Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of children and families.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Working with Children and Families (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience working directly with vulnerable children, young people and families within a statutory or voluntary setting.
- Understanding of child development and the impact of trauma and stress on children.
- Knowledge of key legislation, policies and guidance relating to Children's Social Care.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage challenging or conflict situations effectively.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic recording systems.
- Commitment to restorative and strengths-based approaches when working with families.
- Full UK driving licence and unrestricted access to a vehicle.
