Brent Council is seeking two experienced Financial Assessment Officers to join their Customer Access team, supporting the delivery of high-quality financial assessment services within Adult Social Care.
This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong experience in financial assessments for care packages, looking to work within a fast-paced local authority environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake financial assessments for adult social care services, including care packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and council policies
- Assess, review, and determine customer contributions and entitlements across a range of services
- Request, verify, and analyse financial information and supporting documentation
- Provide high-quality customer service, resolving queries at first point of contact where possible
- Manage a caseload effectively, meeting performance targets and deadlines
- Handle appeals, reconsiderations, and complex casework where required
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
- Proven experience as a Financial Assessment Officer within a local authority setting
- Strong background in financial assessments for adult social care / care packages
- Experience using Mosaic (essential)
- Experience with Abacus (highly desirable)
- Good understanding of relevant legislation, guidance, and best practice
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage workload independently in a hybrid working environment
