Job Description
Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in the West Midlands for a Funding Projects Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will support delivery of strategically important projects. Building relationships with VCSEs, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and success of crowdfunding campaigns. You will lead on advisory support, project pitches, workshops and marketing and publicity including social media. You will develop and sustain effective relationships with a broad range of partners, linking people together for the benefit of maximising funding opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and present external funding opportunities, supporting the development of high-quality funding applications and project proposals
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders, funders, and community organisations to enable successful multi-agency projects
- Support the delivery and monitoring of funded programmes, including reporting, database management, and compliance with funder requirements
- Lead on engagement and promotional activity, including workshops, presentations, and digital communications to raise awareness of funding initiatives
- Proven experience in project development and management, ideally within VCSE and externally funded programmes
- Strong communication and presentation skills including digital and social media, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience in preparing successful funding bids and delivering marketing or outreach activity
- Degree-level education (or equivalent experience) and knowledge of project management or funding frameworks (e.g. PRINCE2 or similar)
