Gas Engineer

Job Title: Gas Engineer (Local Authority Housing Repairs – Temp to Perm)

ServiceCare has an opportunity for a Gas Engineer to join a Local Authority Housing Repairs team on a contract (temp-to-perm) basis for 2 weeks, with the likelihood of ongoing employment. This role covers void and tenanted properties across South Shields and South Tyneside. If you’re a Gas Engineer with strong domestic repairs experience and ACS qualifications, we want to hear from you.

Candidate Responsibilities

• Carry out gas servicing, Gas Engineer repairs, and installations to domestic properties
• Undertake maintenance work in void and occupied tenanted homes
• Ensure all gas work is completed safely, compliant with current regulations and required standards
• Cover properties across South Shields and South Tyneside as required
• Deliver a professional, tenant-focused service at all times
• Maintain accurate paperwork and job records as expected for a Gas Engineer role within social housing

Required Skills / Experience

• Domestic Gas ACS qualifications (required)
• Previous experience as a Gas Engineer carrying out domestic gas repairs and maintenance
• Experience working within occupied and void properties
• Full UK driving licence (must be held)
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

• £20.00 Ltd per hour (PAYE equivalent £17.16 per hour)
