Service Care Solutions, in partnership with a reputable Housing Association, is seeking a dedicated Ground Maintenance Operative to join their team on a 3-month contract. Ground Maintenance Operative - Yeovil Job Overview:

As a Ground Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining the external communal areas across Yeovil and surrounding regions. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills in groundskeeping, soft landscaping, and minor tree work, all while working within a supportive and professional team. The role offers a competitive pay rate of £13.45 PAYE including holiday pay, or £17.26 per hour Ltd via Umbrella for a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday.

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Upkeep of external communal areas, including grass, shrubs, and hedges
  • Undertake soft landscaping and minor tree work as required
  • Maintain high standards of site appearance and safety
  • Work efficiently within a team to meet operational deadlines
  • Use provided company van to travel between sites across Yeovil and surrounding areas
  • Plan workloads flexibly within a fortnightly schedule

Candidate Requirements:

  • Practical amenity horticultural knowledge & experience
  • PA1 and PA6AW qualifications (desirable but not essential)
  • NPTC certification or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
  • Valid full driver’s license; towing license is desirable
  • A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
