- Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Handyperson to provide a minor maintenance and safety check service across residential homes, communal areas, and garages.
This is a varied, mobile role where you will be responsible for completing repairs, supporting residents, and ensuring properties remain safe and well maintained. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned health & safety checks including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and water temperature testing
- Complete basic carpentry and general maintenance work such as:
- Kitchen unit repairs/replacements
- Door adjustments
- Fence repairs
- Minor plumbing tasks (e.g. blocked wastes)
- Undertake general repairs and upkeep across properties and communal areas
- Visit residential schemes to:
- Assist with minor repairs
- Support residents with small maintenance tasks
- Help manage rubbish and communal areas
- Carry out garage inspections and maintenance, including lock changes and small repairs
- Assist colleagues on jobs requiring two-person handling (e.g. moving heavy items)
- Support residents with delivery and setup of equipment such as heaters and dehumidifiers
- Identify and report additional repair or maintenance issues
- Manage and maintain van stock, ensuring parts are available for first-time fixes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices
- Monitor personal performance and continually improve service delivery
- Carry out any additional duties required for the role
- Maintain 100% compliance with all safety checks
- Achieve a first-time fix rate of 90%
- Meet productivity targets (typically 8 jobs per day)
- Experience in general maintenance or multi-trade work
- Basic skills across carpentry, plumbing, and repairs
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence (essential for mobile role)
