Head of Litigation Department

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Greater Manchester for an experienced Head of Litigation Department to join their growing leadership team.

Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: £80,000 – £100,000 per annum DOE
Working Pattern: Hybrid Working Available

Responsibilities as Head of Litigation Department:

• Lead and manage the Litigation Department, including supervision, mentoring, and development of junior fee earners and support staff
• Oversee a varied litigation caseload, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and to a high standard
• Drive business development initiatives and strengthen client relationships to support department growth
• Assist in shaping department strategy, achieving growth objectives, and meeting performance targets
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, risk management procedures, and firm policies
• Monitor departmental financial performance, billing, and profitability

About you as Head of Litigation Department:

• Qualified Solicitor with significant experience in Litigation, including managing complex and high-value disputes
• Previous experience leading or supervising a legal team or department
• Strong technical knowledge across litigation matters with excellent case management skills
• Proven business development and client relationship management abilities
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
