Our client, a successful and rapidly growing facilities management business, is looking to appoint an experienced Head of Operations to join their senior leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded operational leader who is passionate about delivering high standards, developing teams, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance across a busy and growing organisation.

The company has established itself as a trusted provider within the facilities services sector and continues to secure long-term contracts, creating a stable and exciting environment for ambitious professionals looking to make a significant impact.

As Head of Operations, you will play a key role in overseeing operational performance, supporting service delivery, and ensuring the business continues to operate safely, efficiently, and compliantly.

You will work closely with senior management to drive operational excellence while leading and developing teams across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the strategic and day-to-day management of operations
  • Ensure high levels of service delivery and client satisfaction across all contracts
  • Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams to achieve business objectives
  • Deliver training programmes to internal employees and external clients in line with BESA TR-19 standards
  • Design and implement training initiatives that improve capability, compliance, and performance
  • Take ownership of health and safety compliance across the business
  • Conduct audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Support business growth through strong operational leadership and best practice implementation
To be successful in this position, you will have:
  • Extensive experience within the facilities management or facilities services sector
  • A proven background in a senior operational leadership role
  • Experience delivering training and developing teams
  • A recognised Train the Trainer qualification
  • A recognised Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of compliance standards, including BESA TR-19
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
